My Favorite Memory Work

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
when the funds are low and the debts are high,
and when you want to smile but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit,
rest if you must but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns
as everyone of us sometimes learns
and many a failure turns about
when he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow
you may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
it seems to a faint and faltering man.
Often the struggler has given up
when he might have won the victor's cup
and he learned to late when the lights came down
how close he was to the golden crown.

Success if failure turned inside out,
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt
and you can never tell how close you are
it may be near when it seems too far,
so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
it's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

di na ako magdaramdam
di mo na ako masisilayan
itutuloy ko ang aking paglisan

nataon na ako'y mayroong bagong aatupagin
ito'y tinanggap upang mapabilis kang limutin
masaya ka naman sa piling ng iba
halata iyun sa iyong kilos at galaw na aking nakikita

alam ng ilan kung gaano kita kamahal
sa iyo lang ako 'di nauutal
ibinilin na kita sa isang pinagkakatiwalaang kaibigan
na ingatan ka at wag pababayaang masaktan

kung sakaling mang ika'y maging sawi
handa akong makiramay sa iyong dalamhati
ngunit di dito nagtatapos ang aking gawain
po-problemahin ko kung paano ka paliligayahin.

ang saklap

ika'y iniiwasan
unti-unting pinapakawalan

at ngayo'y mahirap mang gawin
ito'y aking sisikapin
kakayaning tanggapin
na kailanma'y 'di ka magiging akin.

I have to do the following by today and tomorrow before we leave for Australia:

  1. Get from Liah my form for Application for Majors for next term
  2. Submit the Application Form to our Department's Office before I leave
  3. List down songs for Empoy to play during my absence
  4. Buy 'exchange' gifts for other nationalities that we'll meet in the Festival
  5. Print out calling cards -- as created by Kuya G
  6. Pack-up
  7. Buy another Php300 load
  8. Proceed to my aunt's house in AAV; they'll give me something?
  9. Pay Kuya Sherwin

9 days before my birthday; 2 days before our trip

It's Sunday today, the busiest day for me. So far, so good I was able to accomplish my errands for this morning:
  1. Get rubber mat and thermal wear from Kuya Sherwin
  2. Play for the Mass @ the Divine Mercy Chapel
The titas have bid farewell to me as we went out the Chapel. They wished me luck and Godspeed as we travel to Australia for 15 days. It was really nice that these titas wished us the best of times during this pilgrimage.

Moving on to PRYM matters, Fr. Francis will treat us to Shakey's later for our merienda at 3:30 pm. I will also have to delegate to Empoy the songs tobe played duribng my absence.

10 days before my birthday; 3 days before our trip

I just arrived from our DYM-Paranaque get-together and distribution of flight itineraries, jacket, and t-shirts held at Tracy's house in Las Pinas. Tiring, but fun! :)

It's 10 days before my birthday... I'm not really worrying about that. More than that, I'm worrying on the materials/clothings that I'll be bringing to Australia. 3 more days and we'll be leaving to attend the Days in the Diocese in Melbourne, Australia.

Yesterday, July 4, I played for the 12:15 noon mass for the VPS Choir. I ate lunch *cough* (tokwa't baboy) afterwhich proceeded to SM Sucat to buy additional clothings/materials for our trip. Whew. I;m starting to get a little bit excited but I'm also worried. This is the first time I'm going to be out of the country without any relative and it will be for 15 days.

Today, July 5, Gino, Jho, (Myla), Roselle, and I will try to do a very last-minute shopping. We really need to get a few more items to complete our checklist for the materials to be brought.

Guys, we need oyur prayers for our preparation and most especially during our stay in Australia. The pilgrimage started when we dreamt of being a delegate. The pilgrimage is on-going. The pilgrimage does not end on July 20; rather, the festival may have ended, but the message it conveys and the challenge continues even when we have returned to become witnesses of Christ.
